A drama based on the early 19th century British colonization of New South Wales. Former convict Will Thornhill settles near the Hawkesbury River, where his family tries to build a safe new home. Despair, fear, ambition and love for his dearest lead to him being caught up in a bloody crime. It’s a two-part television film adapted from the novel by highly acclaimed bestseller Kate Grenville.
