The Second Amendment to the US Constitution guarantees citizens of the United States the right to own and bear arms for the purpose of self-defence. However, freedom of access to firearms also leads to irreversible tragedies. The film also presents the arguments of those who support the right to bear arms and revisits some of the most tragic hate crimes in recent years, when shooters killed dozens of people, often children. It allows the survivors and victims' families to speak and graphically represents the pain caused by weapons when they are in the wrong hands. The film also monitors the efforts of activists who are trying to support mandatory gun registration laws and vetting. This legal tool currently works only partially and unreliably. And the arrival of a new president does not promise any improvement.
