Charlie is a timid fourteen year old boy from a small town in the Australian Outback. His life is changed forever when he is woken by local outcast Jasper Jones and shown the dead body of Laura. Charlie believes that Jasper is innocent and decides to find out who the real murderer is. At this point his carefree childhood ends, along with his dreamlike view of the world that he has known mainly from books. In the adult world he must not only fight with prejudices, but also his parents challenging relationship and their love affairs. This story of true bravery is set in the year 1969 and is successfully adapted from the highly-acclaimed novel of the same name by Craig Silvey
