Joanne's life looks like it's been set up. Together with her loving husband, she takes care of her inquisitive daughter Vicky and the only exciting item in her daily routine is a dive into an ice lake. But the unannounced arrival of Joanne's sister-in-law Julie causes an unexpected stir. A thick atmosphere develops between the women, which even little Vicky senses. She uses her supernatural abilities to uncover the protagonists' shared past. However, her rekindled memories suggest that Vicky may not have been born at all. A gripping and searing hybrid balancing the genres of sci-fi and horror with elements of magical realism, this arrives from Cannes as the second feature film from French director Léa Mysius. Both the cast of the excellent Adèle Exarchopoulos (known from The Life of Adèle) and the strongest karaoke rendition of the 80s hit Bonnie Tyler to date promise an unforgettable experience.
