Director: Ridley Scott  •  Scenario: Hampton Fancher, David Webb Peoples  •  Camera: Jordan Cronenweth  •  Music: Vangelis  •  Cast: Harrison Ford, Edward James Olmos, M. Emmet Walsh, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young

One of the most famous and, in terms of cinematic legacy, iconic dystopian science fiction films of all time probably needs no detailed introduction. Blade Runner was based on the novel by Philip K. Dick and director Ridley Scott and his close collaborators (cinematographer Jordan Cronenweth, production designer Lawrence G. Paull and others) devised a specific concept, according to which the world of the future (for us already the past, the story is set in 2019) was to be portrayed in the style of the not-too-distant past, with a number of visual, narrative and philosophical overlaps to film noir. The result is an unprecedentedly multi-layered and in many ways cautionary picture of the evolution of the human race. The film will be presented in two versions: the Ridley Scott-authorized Final Cut and the original 1982 theatrical version, where the story is accompanied by Deckard’s voice-over.
